Our Patroness
Our Lady of the Angels was chosen as patroness of the academy.
As the closest of persons to the Divine Heart of Jesus, Mary the Mother of God is the greatest patroness for any school to have. It is only fitting that the most perfect of God's creatures, the Virgin Mary, be chosen to protect and guide the academy. The name of "Our Lady of the Angels" is consistent with the that of the Californian city founded by Catholic explorers in her honor: "La Ciudad de Nuestra Señora de Los Angeles," "City of Our Lady of the Angels". This title of Our Lady attests to such grace and virtue that even the legions of angels venerate her as their Queen.
